Tailgate Crockpot Chili

What You’ll Need

  • 1 LB ground beef

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 white onion diced

  • 1 bell pepper

  • 3 cloves of minced garlic

  • 2 tablespoons of chili powder

  • 1 tablespoon of cumin

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground chipotle

  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

  • 1 can of kidney beans

  • 28 ounces of diced tomatoes

  • 15 ounces of tomato sauce

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper.

  • Add in bell pepper, onion and garlic, cook for 4-5 minutes until you no longer see pink, then drain the fat from the skillet.

  • Add the beef mixture to the crockpot. Add in the chili powder, cumin, ground chipotle, and cayenne pepper. Mix in the kidney beans, diced tomatoes and tomato sauce.

  • Cook on low for 8-10 hours, or on high for 4-5 hours. After this time, it is ready to serve!
